Lives and works in Hanoi

Trained in sculpture, Thái Nhật Minh turns toward distilled forms, including human figures, animals, and biomorphic shapes situated between organism and architecture. He works with materials such as bamboo, wood, cast aluminum, brass rods, marble, agate, and weathered stone, whose weight echo the density of his subjects. Through posture and contour, he achieves architectural clarity, reducing forms to essential geometry. Reflective and transparent surfaces create shifting relationships between interior and exterior.

Engaging the emotional labor imposed upon women across generations, Minh uses repetition to position the female figure as both anchor and witness within Vietnam’s social memory. His figures convey a sense of resolute presence, meditating on vulnerability, hope, and fidelity. His figurines reflect histories of rupture that continue to inform the present.
