Lives and works in Da Lat
Trần Quốc Long’s lacquer paintings evoke the untamed spirit of his native landscape. Growing up on Nghi Sơn Island, surrounded by sea, mountains, and forest, the artist channels the raw vitality of nature through gestural brushwork that moves between intensity and lyricism. Working in the space between control and release, Long distills the tension where beauty and chaos converge.
Long received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Vietnam University of Fine Arts in 2000. His works often draw upon memories of rural life and the mountainous terrain of northwestern Vietnam. Through his expressive language and physical approach to paint, Long captures the enduring spirit of the Mường homeland and its people.
